He Would Have Died Just For You!

God forsook His only Son so that you would never be forsaken!

He forsook His only Son so that those who have been wounded by sin and those who have committed sin could turn to God for forgiveness and experiences His healing.

If you were the only one in the world, He would have died on the cross for you over and over again!

The other evening I was working through my post-abortion Bible study for my meeting with my mentor and as I read through each of these sentences, man it just hit me, how much God truly does love us. That He chose to forsake His one and only Son so that we might be able to spend eternity with Him. You guys! Jesus hung on that cross for each and every one of us and guess what, He'd do it again and again and again and again.

If that doesn't speak to you about how much God loves us. How much He wants us to turn to Him. How much He desires a relationship with us I don't know what else does. I don't want to go all Jesus crazy on you but I can't help but go a bit Jesus crazy on you. If anyone has experienced something life-changing you know how powerful that can be and once you've experienced it you want everyone to understand that experience. That is me when it comes to Christ! It's hard to keep quiet. It's hard to not get excited about what He's done because I've experienced it firsthand over and over again.

For whatever may be holding you down, there is redemption and restoration in Christ. He does not expect us to come to Him already perfect and put together, in fact, He loves it when we come to Him broken because that is where His light and healing can seep in. He takes what is broken and turns it into a masterpiece that leaves us breathless at the beauty. My friends, you are God's masterpiece, imperfectly perfect for Him!

Lord, thank you for choosing us over and over and over again. For many of us, we long to be chosen and Lord, you have chosen us. You call us your chosen people. For those who are lost, I pray that they can find identity in You! Lord, for those who are hurting, I pray that you would bind up their wounds and restore their hearts. Lord, you are a good good Father and we thank you for your love and grace. Lord, it is my prayer that I can reach the lost and hurting with my story and testimony. Amen.
